CLOSET MAGIC - An Entryway Reset

Ever find yourself searching for something just as you’re trying to get out the door? That was happening here, too.

This couple wanted their everyday items to be easier to find — and for their entryway to feel calmer and more welcoming. We began by noticing which pieces wanted to be seen and enjoyed, and which wanted a quieter place to rest. That simple distinction opened up the whole space.

The husband has a wonderful collection of hats, so instead of stacking them away, we gave them a place to live on simple wooden posts — turning them into an easy, visible, and personal display. We added shelving that integrated with the existing architecture to create space for shoes, and a few small grab-and-go bins for items that used to pile up on the bench or hide in hard-to-use plastic containers.

The result is a space that supports the rhythm of coming and going — and one that’s still easy to keep clear months later.

Take a look at the before and after images below to see how the flow changed.

READY FOR A LITTLE MAGIC?

We usually begin with a free 15-minute phone or Zoom call. It’s a relaxed way to connect, talk through what you’re hoping for, and make sure we’re a good fit before moving forward. It also helps us choose a good place to start, which is often something small and meaningful. Many people begin here simply to talk through one space that’s been on their mind.

After that, most clients choose either a 2-hour session for a thoughtful game plan, or a half-day or full-day session for hands-on release, reset, and shaping of their space. Any appointment can blend strategy and action as we discover what your space needs.

If you decide to book, you’re welcome to share a few details in the booking questions so I can come to our conversation prepared.

And if you don’t see a time or location that fits, feel free to reach out at erica@mitamagic.com. I’m always happy to help you find something that works.
